My mom went on a bus tour of the UK with friends they were to fly back to Boston but were unable to fly home she was Lucky and was able to stay with family in Glasgow and my Aunts neighbors took in others from the tour unable to book hotel rooms.

I’m from the 9/11 generation. I was at school when it happened. My teacher told us everything even though she wasn’t supposed to. She didn’t want to lie to us. We were under lockdown. I remember my dad coming to get me. I ate lunch in his car on the way home that day. I think my dad wanted to keep me busy while he listened to what was going on. Me and my mom baked cookies the rest of the day. It’s still so fresh in my mind. It feels like it was just yesterday.

"The Royal Marines" is a Corps title and catch all for Royal Marines Commandos, Royal Marines SBS, Royal Marines Corps of Drums and Royal Marines Musicians. In other words "Royal Marine" always has to be followed by a qualifier which specifies an individual role, otherwise it is meaningless.

I work in a grocery store in the US and after the Queen died all of our stores lowered the flags. If I remember correctly, almost all flags I saw around my city were at half staff. There were a couple of my neighbors that have flags in their yards who lowered them as well. They stood in solidarity with us after 9/11 and we paid our due respect after the UK lost their Queen.
